Gateway CHC recognizes the link between academic achievement and positive health outcomes.
Annually, local elementary and secondary schools submit the names of students in the graduating class that they feel have fulfilled the criteria for the Gateway Award, demonstrating academic merit, willingness and enthusiasm to learn, and a commitment to pursuing further academic education, while modelling a healthy active lifestyle. A certificate of merit and a bursary toward their educational pursuits is presented to each recipient at their graduation ceremony.
We believe that these students are positive examples for their peers and our community.
